As an only logistics company within the Sony group, we conduct operations such as procurement / supply / distribution of parts and raw materials for Sony products and repair parts services on a global scale. We develop unique operational networks with logistics hubs in not only the US, but also China, southeast Asia and the middle / south America since the early time of the business, and we have been promoting business expansion to India, Russia, Middle East and Africa. An absolute requirement for our staff is to be enthusiastic to work no matter where you are and to have a global directed view. Moreover, because the improvement in logistics quality is vital for our business to deliver Sony products to a destination in a timely, accurate and cost efficient manner, our staff have to be capable of understanding customers’ demands and providing efficient services to the customers.

Some staff in the mid 20s are playing a big role overseas and those in the early 30s have been assigned to a management position as promotion is implemented depending on their performances. In order to establish logistics systems that can provide the best to each country and area, we need to educate our staff to become a professional who can solve problems and conduct good performances with a global view. As the range of our business is very wide, as mentioned previously, our staff has an opportunity to experience product logistics comprehensively and they can obtain business knowledge by enthusiastically working on a job they have. Moreover, our company is willing to provide educational support to bright-eyed staff. For example, for those who are not yet ready for working alone, we send them overseas as trainees to give them a chance to gain experiences that can be obtained only in that country. We also accept several numbers of overseas trainees, who give our staff an opportunity to learn from them. In terms of language education, we have some 20 kinds of training menus including distance training and e-learning for English and Chinese for applicants, so they can choose the one suited to their level.
